Dr. Hilkat ÖZGÜN: INTERNATIONAL INVITED SPEAKER at RoboCot 2018:
She graduated from METU Chemical Engineering in 1982. She has been actively involved in the research and development of aquariums in CSIRO, the Australian Government's Research and Development Center, for 24 years in alternative energy sources such as aqueous lead-acid acupuncture, VRLA acupressure, gel candy, wind energy, solar energy. Between 1998 and 2000, CSIRO developed the "axcess" prototype hybrid (electric and gasoline engine combined system) automobile double-impact battery (Double-Impact Battery) developed jointly with 80 companies to be shown at world fairs. In addition to this hybrid "AxCess" prototype hybrid car, it was also used in a hybrid car designed for the "Green Olympics" design exhibited by the General Motor-Holden automobile company at the Sydney Olympics. In 2000, this project was selected as one of the projects in Australia. I was deemed worthy of the CSIRO President's Award, CSIRO's greatest award. In 2008 I was awarded the Ultra Battery Project Research Award, a new storage resource for renewable energy..
